Biography
Prior working at Janelia, Andrea enjoyed diverse working experience and has been able to accumulate a variety of skill sets. At WIDEX Hearing Aid Co Inc- New York, she enjoyed being part of the innovation that has led to such advances as the world’s first fully digital in-the-ear hearing aid, as well as their own revolutionary wireless technology, providers with the highest quality hearing aids. She was awarded in recognition of personal commitment, dedication, and performance. Moving to Virginia she starts working in Virtual Reality field at NVIS Inc in Reston where she worked with the design and prototyping team, a small manufacturer of professional level head- mounted and hand held virtual reality displays and simulated 3D military devises.
As an Engineering Technician, Andrea Gugiu, supports ID&F engineers in the electrical, mechanical, and optical design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of instruments and prototype systems and it will at times interface directly with JRC researchers to support various projects.
