Biography

Goran has over 20 years of experience designing, building, and running large scale storage systems and Linux high performance compute clusters. Currently, he is responsible for storage, backup and disaster recovery, Linux, and HPC infrastructure at Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus. Goran has held a variety of positions within HHMI’s IT organization. He is currently Director of Scientific Computing Systems. Goran and his team support a variety of research efforts and provide IT infrastructure support for Janelia’s labs and projects. Goran’s association with HHMI began in 2001 in the department of genetics at Washington University in St. Louis. Goran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri in St. Louis.
