We aim to enrich the understanding of neural circuits by documenting the type of information transmitted through Drosophila CNS connectomes and describing ways that neurons signal to each other outside the current connectomic map. We will add new dimensions to the description of cell types and their associated split-GAL4 driver lines. Future studies can combine these with physiological observations and manipulations to learn how the nervous system helps a fly understand the world and act upon it.
