Leading Edge 2024
With the goal of improving gender diversity of life science faculty, the Leading Edge Fellows Program provides outstanding women and non-binary postdocs in biomedical research a platform to share their work, receive mentorship and career development training, and connect with peers both professionally and personally. Leading Edge Fellows join a community of postdocs and assistant professors in the biomedical sciences who communicate regularly via Slack and host virtual meet-ups and career development panels throughout the year.
Fellows will attend the annual Leading Edge Symposium hosted by HHMI's Janelia Research Campus on June 9-12, 2024 where they will present their work, network with peers and participate in lively discussions. Recordings of the presentations are made available after the symposium on YouTube. All symposium costs are covered, including travel, food and accommodation. Childcare for children up to 6 years may be available (more details here).
The symposium will begin at 6pm ET on the first day and end by 1pm ET on the last. Janelia covers the cost of accommodation, meals and reasonable travel expenses for Fellows.

Eligibility: We welcome applications from postdoctoral associates who plan to go on the job market in fall 2024 or later. Those who plan to apply for more than 3 faculty positions by May 2024 are not eligible.
